For the Parents

Safety First
Your child's safety is a top priority. All teachers and staff proceed through a rigorous interview, classroom teaching simulation, multiple reference checks, and police record check.

We make every effort to ensure privacy and security is upheld. Any information collected is used only for the purposes of providing educational services. While we make every effort to maintain security, using online/technology services always encompasses a risk and should be considered prior to enrolling. We never sell your information to third parties, and only share with third parties when necessary for the provision of educational services. We follow privacy and security laws and guidelines as legislated and make it our top priority to ensure safety and privacy of students and their information, and have policies in place for this.

We have our own insurance including liabilitity insurance; however, you should obtain your own insurance for your child (for example, accident insurance).
Student & Parent Handbook:
Parents/Guardians are expected to please read and follow the above handbook, and should go through this with their child prior to school beginning. This outlines important information regarding school schedule, student expectations, school information, policies, procedures, and parent/guardian expectations. This also outlines your expectation of us in providing wholesome, well-rounded education to your child and providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for your child to learn and thrive.

Arriving at School
Online classrooms open at 9:00am to give everyone time to sign on and settle in. School begins at 9:15am, when all students are expected to be logged in attending class on-time.

Uniform
Students are required to wear a polo shirt, dress shirt, or blouse that is navy blue, burgandy, or white - a collared shirt is mandatory. Sweaters must also be plain burgandy, navy blue, black, or white.
Pants or shorts must be grey, khaki, or black, dress pants preferred. Shorts should be knee-length.
Skirts and collared dresses are permitted provided they are knee-length and follow the permitted colours.

Uniforms should be plain, solid-colour, free of logos, writing, pictures, or graphics. Uniform shirts and sweaters can be purchased online such as through Amazon, or online/in-store at Children's Place, Old Navy, and more.

Holidays & Absence
Unless otherwise arranged with the school, students are expected to attend class daily and on-time. Absences should be reported to administration by 9:15am, or as soon as possible. Families will be notified of school holidays and closures and will be provided an academic calendar of important dates including holidays, upon registration. Parents/guardians are expected to inform the school of any expected absenses.

Breaks & Recess
Students and families are responsible for lunches and snack food, and will be given time during each break period to eat. Students who will not remain online during these periods must have prior permission to leave or be signed out by an approved person (parent/guardian). If someone will be signing your child out, the school must be informed.
